What is Trance?
During trance work, a person remains fully aware and in control, but their attention is directed inward, minimizing external distractions. This focused state can be compared to moments of deep absorption or daydreaming. The aim of trance work in hypnotherapy is to facilitate communication with the subconscious mind, where beliefs, memories, and emotions are stored.
In this state, individuals may be more open to positive suggestions and can explore thoughts and feelings that may not be as easily accessible in their everyday waking state. Trance work is a tool used by hypnotherapists to help clients address various issues, such as breaking habits, overcoming fears, managing stress, and promoting positive behavioral changes.
It’s important to note that trance work is a natural and common experience. People often enter trance states spontaneously in everyday life, such as when engrossed in a book, deeply focused on a task, or daydreaming. In the therapeutic context, trance work is a deliberate and guided process used to enhance therapeutic outcomes.
